Pooh & Friends Cupcakes
These are the cupcakes that I made for my son's 1st birthday. He brought them to share with his daycare buddies. They are chocolate cake with buttercream frosting. I covered them in green buttercream frosting, hand sketched the outline with a toothpick, piped the outline in black and covered with stars. My son's bedroom has this "peek-a-boo" character theme on the wall border, so this was the inspiration.

Cubs Cap & Baseball
I made this cake for our retired pastor. Obviously, he's a big Chicago Cubs fan. I had to make this cake at the same time as my son's christening cake, so it's not perfect. I was really exhausted after doing both cakes. I used marshmallow fondant. The baseball stiching is buttercream icing.

Adam's Christening Cake
I made this cake for my son's christening. The bottom tier is a "dummy" cake, the middle tier is chocolate, and the top is vanilla. This was my first time to use marshmallow fondant. It was very easy to make, but it was a while before I could figure out how to roll it big enough. It was sticky to work with. Everyone loved the taste. I had to take lots of breaks to tend to my baby boy, but lots of fun trying.

My First Wedding Cake
This is my first wedding cake. The cake was a beet cake. The beets made it very moist. Quite tastey. It was the bride's recipe. The cake was covered in edible gold leaf and was decorated with red royal icing. The design was from a book, which at the moment I can't remember the name of. It's not my design, of course. I had lots of fun doing this one.
