For our family reunion, a cherished scene from our childhood summers. The figures represent all six sisters and a couple of our cousins. This was a lot of fun to make and the family was so thrilled with it that no one wanted to cut it. Outside is fondant, "water" is piping gel, with brown sugar for the "sand" around the edge.

Big cake but not a big wedding, so bottom tier is a dummy. This was a springtime right-next-to-the-water venue which taught me lesson about what happens to fondant in high humidity conditions. The groom's cake ended up looking like patent leather.
