Vikings Cake
Birthday cake for a co-worker, who is a Vikings fan. I went on-line and found the pic (laying next to cake) to use as a model. Face and design was done free-hand. I was not happy with the crooked dividing line on the cake, and at the last minute I found I was out of board paper so had to use aluminum foil! (yuck!).

December - Close Up
A close up of the December cake. Trees are ice cream cones dipped in green candy melts, sprinkled with powdered sugar, and some cinnamon candies on them for decor. Gifts are sugar cubes with buttercream icing piped on for ribbons. Edited to add: The tree trunks are large pretzel rods held in place with melted candy melts. I trimmed the pretzels afterward (very sharp knife!) as needed for height variance.

Strawberry Shortcake Wedding
This was THE MOST FUN cake I've done! Bride wanted strawberry shortcake and it didn't matter that the groom hated strawberries! hahaha! Two layer cakes were torted for a total of 4 layers per tier. Top tier iced in basketweave to resemble a basket of strawberries on top. Lessons Learned: Cut strawberries in half to attached to cake, otherwise they keep rolling off. Next Time: Add some kind of pretty decor where the torting shows to make it wedding-pretty.
