Winchester Place Cake
Square cakes, set askew, with flowers cascading down the sides. There are edible pearls on 3 of the tiers as small accents. Tiers are white and chocolate, iced in all BC. This is similar to a number of other cakes I've done, but it's a very popular design with my brides. Photo credit goes to my 14-year old!

Square Black Ribbon'd
This is a styrofoam cake iced in BC with silver dragees on the border; real black ribbon cascading down the front, like a carpet for the couple to walk on. The topper is between the pillars instead of on the top tier. I wanted a sample cake on display to show a "black/silver" color theme.

Vern's Birthday
2-layer white cake, torted and filled with choc fudge, white BC, and red raspberry filling. Iced in BC. Since the birthday was close to St. Patrick's Day, I made the roses green with yellow leaves, w/ a few white rosebuds thrown in. (I thought the big roses looked like heads of lettuce! hahaha!)

Choc Ganache - What Not To Do!
Posting this as a good example of what NOT to do with choc ganache! Made this one for my family. 2-layer white cake, torted and filled with raspberry filling, iced in BC then covered with choc ganache. Melted white chocolate is drizzled over the top. All future ganache cakes will be on a plate/cardboard the same size as the cake so the choc doesn't pool up on the plate like this one. Oh well! My family ate it up!

Sample Cakes
Posting these just to share how I do a sampling with my brides. This is one 6" single layer square cakes that have been cut in half. Both are torted and filled with a different filling (usually white BC and red raspberry). I use the star tip to put a zig-zag design on them. After they have thawed, it takes me less than 10 minutes to prep these cakes for the bride's sampling appointment. Any leftovers go home with the bride.

Music Mill Cake
All BC with red ribbon around the base. Red florals and aluminum initials provided by bride. (Mints in bottom right corner also made by me). not happy with the icing job on the cake on the far left. It did some 'cracking' during set up. This cake is set up on the acrylic stands. Bride wanted the larger cakes elevated and the smaller cakes on a lower level. The taller stand wobbled "just a bit" when setting up the cake, but once it was on there, it remained pretty steady.

Ribbon On Wedding Cake
This was a small wedding but she wanted the fountain and stairs effect. The fountain wouldn't fit inside the small "stand" so we used florals and a paper doily background. It was a rainbow wedding so we clipped pieces of curling ribbons and stuck them in the BC flower clusters. There were 2 small satellite cakes at the bottom of the stairs.
