This was made for my grandma and her sisters. My grandma was one of 12 girls in her family and every year a different sister would host a "bunk in" where they would all spend the weekend together laughing and telling stories. It was always a hoot to have all these sisters together! (Butterflies were non-edible.)
Plain and simple...nothing fancy about it! I tried the buttercream recipe on CC (the one with more butter than crisco) and made it chocolate buttercream. Delicious!! That is my new favorite icing!
This was a last minute order, so I had to improvise by using a plastic cake set. They were thrilled all the same!
My third attempt at cake truffles! Third time IS a charm...they were awesome! I made three flavors: carrot cake dipped in white chocolate, heath bar, and chocolate mint. These were gone in no time!
I made this for my sister who loves pink. The bottom is a 14" round and the square is 8". Iced with buttercream icing.
Sheet cake for the Missouri National Guard for Christmas. All buttercream including poinsettias with cornelli lace design. I made the bow and thought it added a nice touch.
This was my youngest sister's wedding cake. She wanted simple but elegant. All buttercream with gold ribbon around each tier and pearls line the ribbon. I hung prisms from the ceiling all around the cake table and all at different heights. When the lights hit the prisms, it was absolutely gorgeous.

I used the 3D Wilton train pan for the train and small loaf pans for the cars. I carved out part of the cake and filled with candy. Each car is attached by licorice. I had to deliver this 30 miles away...and was a nervous wreck the whole way. Luckily...no derailment!!
I made this for a little girl whose birthday is on Halloween. I also made her a pumpkin smash cake to go with it.
This was my first gingerbread house. It had plexiglass windows so I could run a cord and lightbulb inside the house to make it light up.
I made this to go with the party theme. They gave me a napkin for the party and had me make the cake accordingly. I also made a Daisy smash cake to go with it.
The quality of the picture isn't the greatest...I took it w/ my cell phone. This is just a sheet cake with a 6 or 8 in. round on top. I love doing those baby shower cakes!!
Sorry the topper cake got cut off in the pic...The bride wrote down favorite songs, dates, places, etc. that were special to her and the groom then I wove the words in with the scroll design. Scrolls were in white and words were in pale pink icing brushed with Fairy Dust for added sparkle. One tier had names of wedding party, another had parents' names and a special quote. Guests had no idea until they came up close to cake and saw all the hidden messages and words. This is one of my most memorable cakes!
This cake from the Wilton Romatic Weddings Book is a very popular one with my cake clients. I have done this several times with different designs each time. A total of 11 cakes makes a beautiful display!
