Vegas Wedding Cake
This couple got married in vegas and returned to Washington State for their reception. (Which also had the Vegas theme). The cake is 6" 8" 10" squares with butter cream frosting. Eatable images of poker chips and the king and queen of hearts are also on the cake. The border was done with a simple star tip. Silver candy dots were used around each layer.

Rice Paper/potato Paper Butterfly
Using the directions here on cakecentral.com, I tried the recipe and they turned out great! I used potato paper (just a different starch) and I noticed the drying time wasn't as long as the directions said. I used "non toxic" pens to draw them out and color them in. They were fun to do.

Mini Wedding Cake With Gum Paste Flowers
Mini wedding cake was done for a bride and groom who only got a bite of cake at their wedding about 6 months ago :) She had fresh gerbera daisy as well as other fresh flowers on top, but I decided to go with gum paste this time so she could have a litte momento to save if she wanted. This is a two layer stacked cake with hand made rolled fondant. Pearls around the edge are made of white chocolate.

Romantic
hand made rolled fondant flavored butter & vanilla. I added just a bit of regular vanilla to get a romantic gardenia creamy color to the fondant. We were suppose to have chocolate dots around each layer but they melted. (Bummer!). I think the replacement idea with ribbons and pins worked out better.

Airplane And Hear Cake
This cake was made for the head guy in charge of restoring airplanes at our local flight museum. I made an airplane mold for the little airplanes on the cake (that was the big hit). Then created the scene of the airport (all in chocolate) to the side. Everyone loved all the planes and couldn't believe they were chcoclate

Sea Shell Cake
These chocolates (yes chocolate) :) were all hand made by me. They are also flavored! Butter rum, vanilla butter nut, coconut, and mint to name a few. It is eatable art! People can't believe that they are eatable and that they are chocolate. Most people think they are REAL shells! You can see some of the other shells I have been making on my website www.danasflowers.net Enjoy!
