This was done for a retirement party. Base is buttercream and the shirt is marshmallow fondant. Edible image of logo was added after picture was taken.
This was done for a Halloween/Birthday party. The names on the tombstones are the birthday people. Used buttercream and fondant. Green is peanut butter b/c. Thanks for looking!
Daughter Made This
My daughter Danielle (11) made this cake for the Tip #5 Club for October. I didn't have time to do one yet so she did one. I promised her I'd post it in here. She did it for one of her American Girl Dolls. All buttercream.
This was ''thrown'' together as a last minute cake for a small picnic for a friend. All buttercream. I saw a cake with a similar design on CC, but I don't remember who did it...whoever you are, thank you!
Need A Drink
This was my first try just for fun and practice. The one bottle started to fall so I had to put a stick behind it for the picture. Idea came from SweetResults, thanks for all your help! I used a rock candy recipe for the ice and bottles, cake covered in fondant. Thanks for looking!
This cake was done for one of our contracting employees. He originally didn't have a ring and wanted the cake to propose with. He was then given a ring to use so we put in on the cake. Wait till she opens the box! Exposure is a little off but this is all MMF with gold luster dust over it.
Wilton Course 3 Final
This is my final cake for the 3rd Wilton class. Covered in buttercream and mmf for the roses and leaves. The icing got very soft and everything wanted to sag and have air bubble holes in it. I want to say a quick thank you to my instructor Jackie. Thank you for everything, I wouldn't have gotten this far without your patience and support. Thank you!
This was my first try at a topsy cake for practice. I was happy with it up until the top layer crumbled off and I almost cut the tip of my finger off. It really sagged over night, shoulda taken a picture last night when I finished. All fondant. (Disclaimer: Contains no blood bi-products! LOL)
Course 1 Final
This was the final cake for Wilton Course 1. All b/c, first time doing roses too. Have no idea why it's so small, sorry.
This was my first attempt at a pillow cake. Light mauve fondant covered with gold luster dust. Sorry the exposure isn't better.
I liked the way this was going until I added the ribbon, then I hated it. This is my cake for the 2nd week of Wilton Course 3. Everything is fondant with some luster dust.
I did this as my final cake for the Wilton Fondant/Gumpaste class last night. My lid didn't want to stay on right. Flowers are gumpaste, cake is covered in fondant. Everything else is fondant/gumpaste mix.
Fun With Fondant
I saw a cake similar to this on a 3 tier in here and loved the top layer. So I decided to try and do a single cake similar. I used fondant for everything except fondant/gumpaste for the roses and ribbons. This was my first time trying anything like this. I'm still going through the Wilton classes.....any and all practice helps...I think anyways!
Fondant Cake With Swag
I made this cake during the second week of the Wilton gumpaste/fondant class, last week....The exposure is off....cake is pink and the swag is white with oyster pearl dust on it.
