Hannah Montana Birthday
I used Lambshack's birthday cake as inspiration, but wanted to put some more pictures on it for the birthday girl. I printed out pictures, glued them on cardstock and laminated them so she could keep them. My fondant bows and swirly things wilted horribly-it was SO humid here they wouldn't dry! It wasn't exactly how I wanted it, but she was very happy.

Honoring Fallen Soldiers Of The 101St Airborne
My first place winning state fair entry in the novelty cake division. The theme was "honoring the 101st Airborne" and I decided to honor those who came back only as heroes. I am very proud of this cake-it was made on dummies that I shaped, cut, filed, and covered with fondant. The board, medals, edible image, helmet, and flag with case are all fondant.

Wild Wedding Cake For Bridal Show
A wedding planner asked me to design a cake around these colors for her booth at a bridal show over the weekend. I was not really sure what to do to make it "completely off the wall" as she suggested. This is what I cam up with. It is a dummy completely covered in MMF. Sizes 12, 10, 8, 6 with gumpaste "N" on top painted in luster dust mixed with vodka. I really had a great time making this one after I got going.

Graduation Cake With Fondant Cap And Diploma
This was a half sheet with a fondant/gumpaste cap and fondant diploma . I used edible markers and luster dust for the writing. The only thing inedible is the tassle, which I purchased. Thanks for those who inspired this cake in the gallery...there are several.

Frog Prince With Crown
This was a chocolate version of WASC with chocolate mocha filling and chocolate buttercream. It was 6-3" cakes stacked, carved, and prayed for-with the bottom cake at 10". It was stacked, carved, doweled, and a first for me. Special thanks to Kathy for extra encouragement I needed!! Oh, the crown was fondant covered heavily with gold dust and the frog was covered in modified MMF with rice krispy arms and legs also covered with BC and MMF.

Marine Corps Dress Blues Jacket
I made this cake for the MCJROTC Awards Banquet at my daughter's school. It was an idea COMPLETELY taken from amandasweetcakes and her incredible interpretation of the dress blues. I changed it just slightly, using a mold to create the buttons and forming the buckle. Thank you for looking-Semper Fi!

Baby Shower
There are SO many cute pictures here of baby booties and onesies, I had to give it a try. The pattern was so easy, it wasn't a problem at all!! I tried to search for the picture that originally inspired me-it was for a boy and had a teddy bear in the pocket-so forgive me for not giving that person credit. I changed it a little, colors as per customer's request and the bunny in the pocket. This was one of my favorites to date! I think the onesie would have been better in pink, but this is what they like

Belly Cake For Shower
This was COMPLETELY taken from Cakerer's version of the belly cake-the momma loved the way her dress design looked and draped softly-I only changed the colors of fondant and icing to match the shower. Momma to be even went out to buy a dress to match her cake!! This was a first for me, but very simple and fun to do. It's a half sheet with mega muffins and 8" rounded-all trimmed to not show edges. Strawberry cake.

Birthday For Purple Lover
10" square cake with my first "nice" fondant/gumpaste bow. I would like to thank franjmc for putting the tutorial online-my first attempts were not so great! My husband thought I put fabric on the cake! These were brushed with my new Cake Central luster dusts in amethyst and super pearl. I think it gave a gorgeous sheen to the regal purple fondant/gumpaste mix.

Castle For A Princess
First time castle cake-I learned a lot with this one and still have questions! It's 8 and 6 inch cakes, rice krispy towers, sugar cone turrets, all covered in buttercream. It's LARGELY inspired by dydemus because the little girl wanted a pink and purple castle "just like that one!!". I changed a few things to make it my own, but owe the initial credit there.

Marine Ball Flag Cake
I know I posted my finished cakes together, but this one needed a pic of its own. It was a dummy covered with a handpainted flag with fondant cut-out stars and fondant rope with luster dust. This one was my favorite. I didn't want to cut into the flag which is why it is a dummy.

Junior Marine Corps Ball Cakes
Okay-posted a few threads about these things-at least the fondant and gumpaste Marine in the background! The cakes are 14" vanilla, 10" chocolate-both with double chocolate cookies n cream filling, and an 8" dummy. The dummy is draped with a handpainted fondant flag and luster painted rope, 10" sported a 6" white chocolate and luster dusted Marine Corps insignia, and the 14" included a FBCT of the logo, plus white chocolate medallions dusted with super pearl and silver dusts. My faves so far!!

Sleepover Cake
SEVERAL of you inspired this one. This was my first time for fondant heads and figures (or body parts!!) and I had a GREAT time making it. I put fondant through my (clean) garlic press to make the hair! This was a 10" cake that could have been a lot bigger-I almost ran out of room and put the girl's name on the side.

Birthday Cake For The Colonel
This cake was made for the Colonel of the MCJROTC program at school. It was COMPLETELY inspired by regymusic who was kind enough to give me information on how she did it. I used buttercream instead of fondant, but with fondant accents. It is a 10" double layer chocolate cake with a 8" yellow on top. The Semper Fi insignia on top is white chocolate painted with luster dust. Man do I love that stuff!!! The fondant rope around the bottom is also painted heavily with luster dust.
