26Th Anniversary

layered chocolate cake iced and decorated in buttercream icing. I just like making a simple cake, nothing too fancy for my husband and I's 26th Anniversary.

Styrofoam Wedding Cake

This is a styrofoam practice cake for and upcoming wedding. I wasn't too happy with the smoothness of the icing. I wrapped the cake dummies is plastic wrap before icing with royal icing. the plastic started to pucker a bit. I plan to make one more practice cake before the big day in May

Spongebob

This is my second spongebob cake, without using the sponge bob pan. The design was taken from the picture on the spongebob pan. I used a square cake pan for the head part and a loaf pan to cut the lpants. The cake is a sponge cake, decorated with buttercream icing

I made this spongebob cake using a sheet pan. the legs and arms are all pieces of cake. I did not have the character pan so I used my imagination with the help of a picture. The cake is all chocolate iced with ESB icing

a close up view of the side. The swans didn't come out right, but I'll keep practicing.

Blue Mist

2 layer chocolate and yellow cake (1 layer of each). Iced and decorated with extra special buttercream icing. The top was colored with Wilton's color mist spray, my first time trying it. The side is decorated with piped white swans. My first time trying that technique. Overall this is just another cake to practic with.

A triple layer white cake, iced and decorated with buttercream icing, using Wilton's new "Extra Special Buttercream Icing Recipe. The icing is so light and creamy it ices the cakes wonderfully and doesn't pull up the crumbs.

Peach Delight

Gingerbread iced and decorated with cream cheeze icing. This is a delicious combineation. I've never iced a gingerbread before and thought I'll just try it. It taste yummy.

Chocolate Delight

3 layer choclate cake from scratch, with chocolate buttercream icing. There is a chocolate sugar mold in the shape of praying hands with strawberries on each side of it.
