40Th Anniversary Cake
An 8 inch round chocolate cake with buttercream icing, gumpaste decorations and a fabric ribbon. I wanted to cover the cake in fondant, but it was a heat wave in my city, so I switched to buttercream, which I can't smooth or pipe very well, so it wasn't really the cake I wanted to make. The in-laws liked it though.

Scrapbooking Cake
I made this for a staff meeting at the scrapbooking store where I work. It is a 10" carrot cake. The piping is cream cheese icing (too soft to pipe well) and the decorations are gum paste, some painted with food colour mixed with vodka. I wasn't thrilled with the cake, but my co-workers liked it!

Pastel Roses
This was the first cake I sold. It was for my co-worker's 20th anniversary. The flowers and leaves are gum-paste on wires. The wires are inserted into a fondant cone on top of the fondant covered cake. It was a chocolate cake and very well received by my customer. If I were to redo it, I might decorate the sides a bit.
