I made this for a young ladys sweet 16 party. I just love the black and white zebra stripes with pink accents. All cupcake toppers were handmade with MMF and include bows, 16's, K's and ribbon roses.
I made this for someones 40th, its my first Louis! Its stacked and carved from a half sheet pan and its vanilla cake with a chocolate meringue buttercream and its covered in chocolate fondant. I made a stencil which I used to lightly get somewhat of the basic shapes onto the cake and then handpainted each one to define the shapes. I also made coordinating cupcakes and wanted to add a splash of color to the cupcake toppers with a flower but then wanted a way to tie that in to the cake. I got the great idea to tie the gift tag on with the fondant ribbon as a way to do that from Eatit2's great LV purse cake. Also, thanks very much to mvucic for answering my questions!
These were made for a young ladys birthday who was having a pool party. There were so many possible types of toppers but I ended up choosing what I did because I wanted everything to flow and coordinate nicely. They are chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with chocolate and vanilla meringue buttercream with handmade marshmallow fondant toppers including sunglasses, hibiscus flowers, bikinis and flip flops.

These are cookies I made for my daughters teachers for an end of the year gift. They are vanilla sugar with a glaze. I tried to really personalize them as much as possible. I love how the packaging worked out - thanks to a tip from my Flickr cookie friend!
I made this cake for the son of someone I used to work with. He was very specific about what he wanted and it had to be 3 tiers. He wanted the top tier swimming related as he is big into that. The second tier needed to be something related to the college he is going to be attending and the bottom tier related to the highschool he was graduating from. The swimmer is doing the butterfly stroke as thats what he swims, the Drew rangers logo is the college he will be attendings sports logo and school colors are navy and green. The colors of the highschool he is graduating from are burgundy and navy. I hand cut the letters to look like the way the school does the lettering and the saying at the bottom is part of the schools mission statement. I hand painted the letters , the saying and the drew rangers logo. The top tier is chocolate with espresso buttercream, middle is chocolate with peanut butter buttercream and the bottom is vanilla with vanilla buttercream.
Cue the music.......DA....DA....DA DA......DA......DADA, LOL. I had so much fun making these. Was asked to make some "old school" star wars cupcakes. Princess Leia, Luke, Darth Vader, Light Sabers, R2D2, C3PO and Yoda. They are chocolate cupcakes with meringue buttercream and handmade MMF toppers.
This was made for a little girls 2nd birthday and she loves Minnie Mouse. The mom sent me a picture of the invite so I made Minnie to look like the Minnie on the invite. Its a 6 inch cannoli cake with all decorations done in MMF, except for the black which is Satin Ice. I also made coordinating Minnie cupcakes just like the ones I haev previously posted.
These are cookies I made for a Girl Scout function my daughters troop is having. Its a mother & daughter tea and the cookies were put on sticks because they will be put into flower pots and used as centerpieces for the event. Everyone will then get to take one home as a favor. This was for my daughters 6th birthday. She wanted a mini cake and coordinating cupcakes with a Hello Kitty theme. I designed the cake to go with the Hello Kitty paper goods I purchased. The mini cake is a cannoli cake, her favorite and the cupcakes are chocolate and vanilla with a vanilla meringue buttercream. All decorations on the cake, including Hello Kitty and the cupcake toppers are made from MMF.
This cake was for my daughters kids birthday party. She specifically requested a purple Hannah Montana guitar cake so I went on line to look for inspiration and was so excited to find an awesome Hannah Montana guitar made by Washburn.........it was just what I needed for inspiration and it was purple and everything! I also found a great one made by someone here on CC and that was where I got the idea for the Maddy is Six on the cake board in the Hannah Montana lettering. I made a template for the cake and carved it from a 9x13 cake with very little waste. Its a chocolate cake with meringue buttercream and MMF. I went back and forth on how to do the strings, was contemplating floral wire but in the end just hand rolled my MMF as thin as I could and used that for strings. I think it worked out great and am glad I went that route. My daughter and her friends loved it!
This was for someones 70th birthday who loves southwestern. All cupcake toppers are handmade from mmf and chocolate fondant. The 4 inch mini cake on top is iced in vanilla italian meringue buttercream and covered in chocolate fondant. I had so much fun putting this one together.

This is a mini purse cake, about 6 inches with coordinating cupcakes. The birthday girls theme was pink and black animal prints. The zebra stripes on the cake were hand painted. The toppers are handmade from MMF with handpainted zebra stripes and cheetah prints.
My version of the flower pot cake. Its a vanilla cake with a rasberry filling and vanilla meringue buttercream. I put the fork in the picture so you could get an idea of size. Its a small cake, I made it in my 4 inch round pan and carved it slightly. Next time I think I will carve a bit more to get even more of a flower pot shape.
These were made for favors for a Noahs Ark themed baby shower. I got the inspiration for the animals off of my sons newborn pj's and blankets. They are iced in a glaze and are lemon sugar cookies.
