This is the smallest oval from the oval pan set. Cake is all buttercream basketweave piping with rope border for handle. The eggs are candy robin's eggs.
6", 9", and 13" round tiers on the tall tier cake stand. All buttercream. Flowers are rosebuds cascading down the sides. This one is a little too frilly for my taste, but they were quite pleased with it. Red velvet and vanilla caramel cakes.
14x22 sheet cake with baby cake on top. Lettering is pink royal icing dusted with super pearl.
My most popular baby shower cake. Customers order any number of blocks, most have been between 3 or 6 blocks. Each one is a 2-layer 6" square cake.
A Star Is Born
This cake is pieced together using 2 double layer star cakes, a double layer 1/2 sheet cake, and the baby cake from an older Wilton pan. Kudos to my DH for doing a wonderful job helping get it all together and making the board for me.
Sheet cake with FBCT of Noah's Ark. Picture was from a wallpaper border sample that was used in the baby's room. One of the most time consuming pics I've done on a cake
Flower "hat" Cake
This was supposed to look something like a hat, this is what the customer described to me. Single layer 13" and 2-layer 9". Gumpaste daisies and lilies and satin ribbon band and bow.
Two round tiers, strawberry and french vanilla. The cap is a half ball strawberry/french vanilla marble with a sugar cookie mortarboard. The tassels were made from DMC floss.
Basketball Grooms Cake
My first grooms cake that went along with the 3-tier package wedding cake. The square is an 8" chocolate, and the ball is french vanilla. The chocolate covered and tuxedo strawberries did a great job of making this ball actually look decent once they were added on.
Pink Hearts Wedding Cake
This customer had an all pink wedding (including the dress) and wanted a pink and white cake with varying shades of pink. All cakes are covered in buttercream and royal icing roses. I hate the push in pillars, they always look crooked no matter what. The puffed hearts around the base also have small loops of ribbon scattered among the roses. I used the Wilton globe bases to elevate the cake a little. I wish I had done something to lift up each of the puffed hearts at the back.
Square Package Wedding Cake
My first attempt at package cakes. The cakes are iced in white and lavender (I know it doesn't look like it) buttercream. The ribbons are SatinIce fondant painted with silver luster dust. The bow is gumpaste also painted with the luster dust.
Square Wedding Cake
All buttercream wedding cake iced in a dark ivory with sage green scrollwork. The lilies and leaves are gumpaste.
Palm Tree Tiered Cake
My customer found a picture of a cake on the internet that she wanted me to recreate for her. This was my take on it. The tiers are 7" and 11", the "sand" is graham cracker crumbs. The palm trees are purchased decorations. My customer had a little hula girl and a surfboard to add to the cake but unfortunately I didn't have them for the photo.
This cake was made of 3 layers, the top layer cut at an angle like the topsy turvy cakes. The customer only wanted one tier so here it was. The photo doesn't do it justice. The bow was the wilton bow that I tinted with dusts, but I hate how it turned out. I should have just made one from fondant to better match.
Strawberry Shortcake Princess
I think she turned out cute except she looks like she has zits! I tried to follow the coloring from a picture that my customer provided, but I think I'll use something a little darker for the eyes and mouth next time. :)
Petal Shape With Scrolls
I had these layers in my freezer and needed the space, so I iced them up and took it to work to give away. Nothing spectacular, but wanted to use my scroll presses for the first time.
42 cupcakes each decorated with a single buttercream rose. I used the tall tier stand and decorated with fresh roses and leaves.
Harley Davidson Logo
I made this for my BIL birthday, he had just bought a motorcycle. The logo was done with a gel transfer.
I made this for a large baby shower. The bottle is made up of 9" round cakes cut in half and stood on end, 7" cake for the neck and the nipple is carved from 1/2 of the ball pan. All iced in buttercream
I made this cake for my uncle's 80th birthday today. It is a 9x13 sheet on top of a 14x22 sheet. The flag was made of SatinIce fondant. The semicircle is a copy of his Army patch. I had a fit with the flag, the pieces dried out some while I cut others and they just wouldn't stick back together. I managed to salvage it but I was in tears. As usual, I am the worst critic. Thankfully the pictures look better than the actual cake did.
This was for an adult who loves Betty Boop. I think this is one of my favorite character cakes
