Happy 21St Birthday
Thank you to farnazmom3 and pattyasken for their advice! This was about 18 inches tall; 4 tiers of 9" rounds, with a rice crispie treat neck. I only had to redo the neck about a zillion times, and decided to "hide" the mistakes with a longer wrapper around the neck. The client was so jazzed! And, it made the hour plus trip with minimal damage...nothing a little gel could not fix.

Scrolls And Gumpaste Flowers
I would like to thank the fine folks of ShopBakersNook.com for having such wonderful service. I bought the flowers premade, but did color them myself. Small 50 serving cake, yellow with whipped cream; carrot with cream cheese, chocolate with raspberry mousse. I could not find my #1-5 tips, so I used this to make the scrolls. Where have all my tips gone? Argh.

Sandcastle Wedding Cake
Well, this is what I worked on for 2 days straight. The couple wanted a "rustic" look to this cake, for it to not look "like a Disney castle". We came up with a couple of sketches, and this is the result! The "cove" is white chocolate covered rice cripies, and the 3 tiers of cake are pineapple coconut, key lime, & orange. All MMF, pearl dust, carved for brick effect. Top of cake is MMF covered rice crispie topper. White chocolate shells with dusts, and brown sugar around cake edges.

Scrolls And Ribbon And Flower Petals
This was a fun cake for a very fun bride. Outdoor wedding, very humid, but the buttercream held up just fine. Fondant ribbon draping cake, and lots of flower petals and a few roses tucked into the cake. Coconut pineapple cake with coconut filling; buttercream icing; dark ivory and light ivory with burgundy accents.

Swirly Lines And Roses
Based on a picture the bride loved...the original had a ribbon as the topper. 3 tier cinnamon vanilla and white cakes with cream cheese fillings. Looked lovely against the soft yellow walls of the room. I did a "leafy" border on the bottom of each tier to match the leaves throughout the design.

A Whole Lotta Orange
A translucent gold polka-dotted ribbon over an orange ribbon wrapped the bottom of each tier. I was going to do gold-dusted pearls, but just went with white pearls...the gold looked like too much. The toppers were hard to fit, but I managed, and even stuck in the orange silk flowers the bride wanted also. Not my favorite design, but I think I made it work. Chocolate cake with chocolate ganache filling. Buttercream icing.

The Topper Was As Big As The Cake
I suggested a dummy layer for the bottom to give this cake more height. Just a simple stacked tier, smooth buttercream with some piped stars, and a blue fondant ribbon. Chocolate cake with fresh strawberry filling. The wedding party arrived at the restaurant very early, so I had 25 people watching me set this up! Bride and groom very happy with this simple cake. I loved the topper...it's a wooden figurine.

50Th Anniversary Wedding Cake Replica
This was a fun cake to do! I was asked to duplicate a wedding cake (a smaller version) from a black and white photo. My husband did a great job editing the photo so I could see the details better. Lots and lots of piping. Cinnamon vanilla and chocolate cake layers.

3 Tiers And Flowers
I asked for help a couple weeks ago with what size tiers and pillars I needed to buy for this....thank you all! Fondant covered, with edible pearls, and fresh flowers (which I got to arrange..so fun!). I had to rebake the middle tier at the last minute, because of a giant crack in the top. But all ended well! The family watched me put this together, and were so happy with the results!
