Had lots of fun making this lighthouse.

An M&m Cake For The M&m Sisters
Made this cake for my two daughters birthday celebration. When they were kids they used to joke and say they were the M&M sisters because their names both start with "M". Their birthdays are only a week apart, so this year they decide they wanted to celebrate it together and as their theme they chose m&m's. So my oldest saw this cake on the internet and decided this is what she wanted. I don't know who made it, but whoever it was thank you for posting your beautiful cake and I hope you don't mind me copying it.

Ruby Anniversary Disaster
This is the first time this happens. I made this cake for my 40th wedding anniversary. 12", 9" and 6" tiers. Bottom tier was my moist yellow cake, middle tier was red velvet and top tier was a gluten free Italian cream (since I'm gluten intolerant.) That top tier was so heavy that part of the middle tier collapsed on the way to the church. I had to stick a knife in the back to hold up the top tier. Fortunately the front of the cake was not damaged and I was able to display it. One thing I was thankful for was that this cake wasn't for a customer.

The Temple "T" was pieced together in gumpaste on a red sugar sheet background. I thought the "T" was going to be easy. It was a challenge! It was like putting a puzzle together, but i finally did it, not perfect but I was pleased with it. My grandson and his girl who also graduated from Temple loved it.
