Painter's Best Friend

Dried fondant pallet, with fondant tube, brush, and banner. Candy clay paint. All set on top of a 10" round cake. Got the idea out of one of my decorating books.

Dinner

25 cupcake cake with 6" round. BC "noodles", strawberry sauce "sauce", and cakeball "meatballs".

Baby Boy

Same cake as you all have been seeing. I got the idea from CC, and thanks to lisamarie for all of her tips! 2-10" rounds covered in BC and fondant.

Purse

Tried to copy Collette Peter's purse cake. Easier said than done. Hope the customer likes it. Carved covered w/bc and Homemade fondant w/royal decorations.

Dog Bone

6" covered w/BC w/fondant bone.

Little Flower

6" last minute w/candy clay decorations. Then changed cake to decorate with fondant dog bone, in my next pic.

Ski

Tried to copy BonJoviBabe's cake, but as you can see did not go so well. I was going to paint with pasted, but thought I could draw the outlines first with edible markers, but if you look at the trees on the right when I went to paint the edible marker ran, so I ended up using all marker. Good news: I used Toba Garret Rolled Fondant recipe and loved it. Thanks. CMarkins.

Thimble

Carved cake with Satin Ice over BC. Fondant violet. Made for 70 year old lady who collects thimbles. The design is a copy of her favorite.

Mary

Oval French Vanilla with BC. Flowers and name are Candy Clay.

Purse And Boa

8" with 6" purse on top. Covered in BC. fondant stars and purse handle. Used Americolor Electric colors. Thanks traci and Boween for the help and ideas!

Polka Dot Baby

8" and 6" covered in pink BC. All dots are rolled BC. Fondant booties made with Dawn's directions. Thanks! The idea came from a Margaret Braun cake.

Baby Girl

Snickerdoodle cake w/ pink WBH BC. Fondant baby, ball, and blanket. confetti sprinkles, and sugar decorations. Decorated by a 7-year old for her new baby cousin to be.

Steelers

9x13" chocolate covered in black BC with yellow BC border. MMF jersey and star. Football is Candy Clay. 1st time doing jersey, and learned a lot about how to do better, but overall am pleased.

Watermelon Dolphin

Lady called on Thurs, wanted for Fri, and said daughter liked watermelons and dolphins. What????? This was the best I could come up with. My creative juices were not up to par. She liked it. All BC, but dolphin. It was fondant.

Santa

Got this idea, and copied off of Pinkbunny. Thank you for the idea, yours was really great!!

50Th

8,6 and 4" white w/ rolled BC filling, and white BC on outside. "replica" of original wedding cake, just smaller.

Mini Wreaths

4" cakes with BC leaves and berries. Bow is Candy Clay. 3 of 8 I am making for teachers and neighbors.

Joy

Copy of a wreath I did last year, but added bow after seeing some of the wreath cakes in the gallery. Like it with bow much better. Thanks for the idea.

Next Stop

Choc. sheet with carved casket, store bought skeleton, and fondant plaque. This was the wife's idea. The black was easy to make with Americolor.

Close up of fondant baby. Not as good as the one I got idea from, but not bad.

The customer wanted a bow, not really happy with it, but I do like the cake overall. Got every idea right off of CC. Thanks everybody.

Snowflakes

2-10" with 2-8" red velvet covered in BC, covered in Satin Ice. Royal Snowflakes. Not real happy with it, but hey they can always be worse.
