Thank-you for your reply.  I have added up all my costs except for my time.  I plan on doing that with my next project.

The cake would cost 25 different prices from 25 bakers in  25 locations.

Experienced bakers on this website have taken the time to figure out pricing on their own for their businesses and given others tons of advice about how to do so already on this website.  Search and ye shall find.  You are not alone, though.  it's a common Newbie question.

Back in the old days on here, the old-timers became soooo weary of this question (and those who would not use the search function) that we just started answering randomly.  $12.95!  $14.95!  $9.99!  and so on.

don't forget the potential PITA charge if the customer was really difficult

AAt this point I think I have to add the cost of getting the copyright permission. that can take a while and increases the PITA fee. I always made my customers get the copyright release and send it to me.
