AWhen ever I use my mankin green extruder I always have a difficult time getting the gum paste to pass through the extruder, I would coat the gum paste with some crisco and put it in the extruder and when I twist the top it would sometimes be really hard to twist, to the point where my hands begin to hurt:( could someone please tell me what I could possibly be doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated thank you!
AI've only used fondant in clay extruders, so I'm not sure about gumpaste. But, I knead ALOT of shortening into the fondant to make it soft and stretchy like gum. Then it pushes through fine, even though it still makes your hand hurt.

I purchased one from michaels and I really like it.
Since I got my PCE extruder my life has been SO much easier. They are a bit pricey, but you will love them! I don't know how many if those green plastic extruders I broke before getting this one.

Full Disclosure: I am NOT affiliated with this company in any way, but they do make an awesome product.
