How far in advance can you do fondant cut outs for a cake and how would you store them. I have a 3 tier baby shower cake for Nov 15th and I would like to prep as much as possible before hand. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you

You can put fondant cutouts on a cookie sheet and waxed paper and freeze them for a long time before you'll need them. When you take them out of the freezer they'll warm up and soften fairly quickly so you have to be careful you don't let them sit out and get all sticky, but as long as you work relatively fast it works really well.

Quick question after I have applied the cut outs to the cake and they come to room temp I will not be putting the cake back in the fridge will this be okay as long as I don't touch them since you had stated they will get sticky???

they'll be fine, just let them dry out without touching them. I refrigerate everything but you can leave it out too.
