ATop tier doesn't quite tie in being ivory not white

AYes, I agree. Guess you don't have time to change the fondant to white and incorporate some blue in the lace on the sides or add a blue big flower?

Sweet_Toof, your cake looks very nice. Really, quite lovely! We tend to be extra picky with our own work, but I don't think anyone will notice anything wrong. Enjoy the celebration!

ADon't change a thing! It's already a very beautiful cake :) and i think it's nice that you can actually see the distinction between the wedding and christening cakes, makes it more special.

Not really sure what you mean by foam cleats but..........Yes foam should be o.k.  unless it is very soft.

ACleats is what we call them in Australia They're the foam round discs that you stuck under the cake board So if you have a really heavy cake you have somewhere to slide your fingers underneath to pick the cake up

If it bugs you, I would add small ivory and white flowers (or other white+ ivory decorations) on all layers. That way it "ties" the ivory and white together.

But I agree with the PP. It looks great... no worries!
