AI have seen great things about the WASC recipe but the one for chocolate kinda confused me... Does anyone have a specific recipe for chocolate? Does it have to have almond (in case allergy).

Would this be a good cake for a 3 tiered wedding cake?

Thanks in advance! :)

I'm curious too.  I've never liked the taste and consistency of my chocolate WASC, even using chocolate milk or a flavored coffee creamer.  absolutely the worse cupcakes I ever made.

You can ommit the almond extract and just use vanilla. I have rave reviews with kakeladi's chocolate wasc and I do use 1 tbs coffee in it. It intensifies the chocolate flavor incredibly. HTH

You can't taste the coffee in the chocolate WASC at all after it's baked.  It deepens the chocolate flavor.  I also use coffee in my scratch chocolate recipes too.  For the chocolate WASC just omit the almond and use vanilla or you don't have to use any extract at all.  If you don't want to use coffee for the liquid then just use water.  Easy.

You ask for a WASC choco version - just use the original recipe :) !

http://cakecentral.com/t/584319/the-original-wasc-cake-recipe/

If you read this post of the recipe you will see that a chocolate version is made by using a chocolate cake mix.  If you want a deeper choco flavor, swap in about 1/4 cup cocoa powder instead of that amount of flour.
