I'm getting rid of my my small curved glass front bakery case, and replacing it with a counter. I'd like to have a sneeze guard with a glass front, sides and top built onto the counter top. The glass portion will need to be about 6 feet long, and about 12-18" high. I want glass on the top so the overhead lights shine down onto the cupcakes and things, and I need it to be strong enough to support some display cakes on top.
Anyway, if you have something similar, who did you contact for the build? Or were you able to order something custom online? I've searched the heck out of this and come up with very little; also, I've got to keep the price reasonable, preferably under $1000.
I'm going to try to attach a couple pics of what I mean from Google image search.
Hi Suzy - I am having something similar built for my bakery right now. Mine is slightly different. I went to a glass shop and had them bid me a counter top display case, because I wanted sliding glass doors in the back. But the catalog they order from also had glass sneeze guards. You can look the parts up on line and take them to your glass guy. It is crlaurence.com.
Mine is 90" long, 12" tall and 24 or 25" deep. It was about $1600. I'll post pictures when it is installed on my cabinet here in a few weeks. And my husband and cabinet guy are adding the lights after the cabinet is installed. If you get the sneeze guard kind, the lights can come out of the posts that hold the glass.
HTH,
Liz
