Not ALL of us are as perfect as OTHERS at navigating forums at first try. Give the girl a break. She asked for help with cookie dough. She didn't dial 911 ! Geez!

Did you hear me yelling? See me grinding my axe in preparation for her execution?

No?

Yeah, cuz I was just letting her know that it's not necessary as she had already posed the same question in her other thread (I think there were actually 3) on the same topic.

Geez! *giggles*

AI always use country crock butter in my cookies. I'm not a fan of real butter. They should be fine. Since this post is an hour old did u try baking them or did u throw them out.

AYou could try baking them, but I doubt they would keep their shape since butter was not used.

ARepurpose it. Cheesecake or pie crust, brookies (half cookie/half brownie), etc. get creative.

ACan I add a little bit of cream of tartar to better the dough so it don't spread that much? I came up with the idea from the website of Country Crock "butter"

Nice cookies! But it's hard to know what affected the dough... Perhaps the cream of tartar, or the long rest period, or being thoroughly chilled. Or maybe a combination.

You just joined today and this is your first post. Who's alter ego are you?Yeah I thought I joined a baking forum but apparently the only one who actually knows ANYTHING about baking is the poor person who asked for help. The rest of you are sitting around reading this to make what ONLY YOU think are "hilarious" comments. Mimi needs a Fix and Brandi's Baked. I wouldn't come to this forum for help if oven exploded. You are all just mean. Whoever the moderator is needs to deal.

pattycakes62  I know what you're talking about. this is not the first time I get rude comments like these. I've just decided to ignore the bad ones and appreciate the good ones. I didnt come to this forum to stress out or offend anybody. I guess some people don't know how to manage too much info in their heads and they end up being rude with others that don't know that much.

Thanks for your encouraging words. Boy some of these people are just something else. You'd think you could go to a place like this for some fun and helpful ideas. You're right, if they actually knew anything they wouldn't have to make the snide remarks. Somebody has to buy Pillsbury. I'll stick with the constructive conversations. Thanks again. Nice to know there are nice people too.

Manners go a long way towards being accepted on a forum of strangers, regardless of ability level.  It always helps to get off on the right foot by being nice - you should give it a try. :)

You don't give people a chance to be new on this site. There are like 5 old bitties/bullies telling every new person off and having a ball doing it. Why don't you just stay on your stodgy little site and you can talk to the few of you left and never learn anything new or innovative because you're so busy belittling everyone who doesn't agree that Barbie Doll cakes are the NEWEST CRAZE! Circa 1965. Enjoy your hen party. Try not to scratch each others eyes out, it makes it hard to type!
