Hey guys!

I've been a member here for a well, as well as over at cookiedecorator.com. One of the members there is currently deployed in Afghanistan and has organized a massive cookie operation for her base. We are gathering volunteers to send homemade cookies of all types to her to distribute to her entire base. Our shipping days will be between March 15-22, and we have a facebook page to keep people updated.

If you would like to participate, head on over to www.facebook.com/operationcookietakeover or email [email protected] with your name and how many cookies you would like to send!

Thanks everyone!

I just signed up. Now I have to decide what to bake.  Not sure what kind of cookies travels the best.

morecakeplz- I sent peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip, scones, brownies, you NAME it, to my husband while he was deployed in Afghanistan... they all arrived and were great.

I wrapped each one individually in saran wrap and then put them all in baggies. The key to them not breaking into pieces is that you need to make sure there is no wiggle room in the box that you pack! But if you wrap them individually and then use a bag or a second layer of wrapping they should be fine!

Hope that helps! I love this cause!
