Actually i don't get any ads at all.  Have you tried putting an ad blocker on your computer.  I think mozilla has one.

ALol I believe the ads are generated based on the cookies on your computer. Someone in your house has some confessing to do!

Yes, they are, unless you have a virus, then they will be porn as well. I opened one of the SPAM emails I had that the subject said: Hello Anna! And I forget what was inside, but I clicked the link and I had porn for days, lol. I wouldn't let anyone else in my house behind me when I was on the computer, and put a password on it until I could get it off of there, You should have seen me with the laptop half closed, and me crouching down to view it, I probably\y looked like I was looking at the pornos, lol! I PROMISE I wasn't, and if I did see some oddity in a thumbnail and happen to click it, I did NOT enjoy it, it was like a train wreck, you had to look, even if you didn't really want to see ;-D

When my kids were little (about 10 and 6) I took them to the library to use the internet as this was in the days before internet on computers were common household items.  We filled in all the forms promising not to go to porn sites etc and then I left the kids to go and do some shopping.  When I got back a very horrified librarian took me aside to warn me that my son had come to tell her about the naked ladies on his computer and that he hadn't done it and couldn't get rid of them.  It didn't matter what they tried they could not get rid of the porn site, it just kept popping up again.  They knew who had done it cos you had to book in advance to use the computers.  Finally they had to get a serviceman in.  She was quite upset that my son had been subjected to it but he thought it was hilarious and bragged about it for weeks.

Asked hubby, who is the computer fixit person in our house, and he said to clear your browser case, especially of the cookies.

This link should help you clear your cache no matter what browser you are using icon_smile.gif

AIf you are getting porn ads your computer is probably infected with malware and you should do a scan using a tool like malwarebytes: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Clearing your cookies probably won't help. It's doubtful the ad network CC uses would display porn ads regardless of which sites have set cookies.

I use a common computer in an apt. house for low incom seniors.  I'm not allowed to clear computer or work on it in  any way :(

The ads I'm referring to are on the upper right side of most pgs and usually show a very scantily dressed women or one laying down w/her boobs hanging out.

Hello, this could be isolated to your PC but I have also inquired on our end to see if it's a glitch in the CC ads.  Thank you for bringing it to our attention!

I'd like to know why we have to deal with ads at all. We should have the option of an ad-free version. Hell, I'd even pay for it. It's so ridiculous when I'm trying to look through this site and CONSTANTLY, accidentally scrolling over a stupid ad and it takes over my whole screen. Serious PITA!

Install an adblocker and you won't have to deal with the ads.

I use Firefox (I think latest version is 20) with AdBlocker Plus. I never see an ad.

You can clear 'cookies' in your computer by opening internet then click on tools, internet options, general, browsing history and delete. This should clear history and cookies installed in your computer.

It happened because you are surfing.  That almost always leads to such ads finding their way onto your computer:(    Music sites are idea 'hiding' places for people to do their dirty deeds of inbedding links to porn.
