Easy to make vanilla custard filling for your cakes. Tastes just like pudding.
Vanilla Custard
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
- Bring sugar, cornstarch, salt, egg yolks ans milk to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat ( about 20 min), whisking constantly until thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cover with Saran Wrap and chill for 2 hours.
