Busy Day Cocoa Icing

This is a rich cocoa frosting that only takes 10 minutes to make!

Busy Day Cocoa Icing


  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 6 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1/2 cup HERSHEY®’S Cocoa Powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups confectioners’ sugar


1 In small bowl, stir together butter and water until butter is melted. Add cocoa and vanilla; beat until well blended.

2 Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth, creamy and of spreading consistency. Add additional water, if necessary.
