Blueberry Cookies

My mom got this recipe from the local newspaper years ago and we’ve both been making these delicious cookies ever since. Although it is tempting to try them warm out of the oven, these cookies taste much better once they’ve cooled completely. Enjoy!

Blueberry Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown suger
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cream together margarine, shortening and sugars. Add egge and vanilla and mix well. Mix in rest of ingredients and add blueberries last. Drop onto greased baking sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12-14 min. Cool on 5 minutes before removing from baking sheet.
  2. Tip – If you are using frozen blueberries, place the batter in the fridge between batches…as the blueberries thaw, it will make the batter watery.
