I made these this last weekend they are my new favorites. My house smelled like fresh cinnamon. I actually had frozen the rolled dough because i ran out of time to bake them the same day. They came out perfect. I let the dough sit about 10 minutes before slicing. I usually don't eat the cookies once they are baked I prefer the dough but that was not the case with these. They remind me of the butter cookies you get in the tin cans. I did not put any icing on them.
I'm wondering if I can just use my sugar cookie recipe for this and fill and roll? Is the cookie recipe any different than a basic sugar cookie? thx!
