Cherry Coulis Recipe

Cherry Coulis
While coulis is just a fancy name for sauce, cherry coulis instantly adds that extra element of sophistication when drizzled atop your favorite dessert. Whether you choose to serve this delectable cherry sauce with vanilla bean ice cream, cheesecake, chocolate cake or even with waffles, pancakes or yogurt parfaits, cherry coulis is easy to make and is a sweet, versatile recipe to add to your repertoire!

Cherry Coulis

2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved
¼ cup water
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

BOIL all ingredients, except vanilla, in a medium saucepan for 5 minutes.

PUREE mixture in a blender.

STRAIN the mixture with a fine mesh sieve.

ADD vanilla.

SERVE with your favorite dessert.
