I searched for over a year for the perfect chocolate chip cookie. I finally found this one. I hope everyone enjoys it. They are so good. They stay soft for a long time.

Delicious soft chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients

  • 4 sticks butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbs molasses
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 Cup water
  • 1 1/2 Cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 12 oz back of chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. 1. Cream butter, eggs, molasses, vanilla, and water.
  2. 2. In large bowl, combine sugars, baking soda, baking powder, salt and flour.
  3. 3. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Stir in chips.
  4. 4. Shape dough into 1″ balls—place 1″ apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. 5. Bake 8 minutes or until golden brown at 375.
