I have been making this recipe for years. So easy......and SOooooo deadly
warning...step away from this recipe. Make it once and you'll want to find an excuse to make it every day.
thank you for the recipe
what is Bisquick?or the equivalent in england.thanks.
Kathmaud1251: Bisquick is a biscuit baking mix, the only thing you add is milk. Jiffy Mix is a similar product. You make 'Bisquick', from scratch by mixing: 1 cup flour 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon shortening or butter Mix dry ingredients, cut in shortening or butter until the mix looks like course corn meal. Proceed with recipe above. Hope this helps!
I think these would make great Christmas gifts, by mixing all the dry ingredients, putting it in a pretty plastic bag with a ribbon, then putting it in a pretty mug with instructions. A great teacher gift!
kathmaud1251 I actually make this recipe with all purpose flour, adding in the salt, baking powder etc. Of course you can use the self rising flour you have at home. If you "google" the recipe, trust me, it will come up. Probably several variations. Instead of chocolate chips, my recipe calls for a chopped chocolate bar.
thank you for your help,i will try this reciept this weekend.
