Creamy Cheese Icing

Great for icing and decorating cakes. Has the perfect consistency for making stars, borders and any other decoration you like on your cakes.

Creamy Cheese Icing


  • 1 stick of butter
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 2 lb confectioner’s sugar
  • 1/4 cup solid shorterning (I use Crisco)
  • 1/2 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt


  1. Beat together the butter, cheese, shortening, salt and vanilla.
  2. Add sugar a little at a time and beat on low speed.
  3. For glaze consistency use 1 3/4 lb. of sugar
