Butter Pecan Mousse Filling

This is a good filling to put with butter pecan cake mix.

Butter Pecan Mousse Filling


  • 3/4 cups pecans
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2- 8oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla


  1. Coat pecans with melted butter, bake on a baking sheet @ 350 about 5 minutes until toasted. Chop finely. Set aside. Beat cream cheese, beat in sugar, vanilla, and whipped cream. Gently fold in pecans.

I really enjoy this recipe, but i candy the pecans in melted butter and brown sugar before I toast them.
