Cream Cheese Flan(custard)

This is a BIG hit in my family…I always wanted to share a recipe on CC to offer something back for all the great recipes I got from here…TRUST me…it will be a hit!


Amount Ingredient 1/2 cup sugar 8 ozs. cream cheese 3 eggs 1 tsb. vanilla 1 can condensed milk 1 can evaporated milk


Caramelize the sugar, by cooking it in a non stick pan on low heat until its light brown and pour in a 9 inch round glass pie plate.

Put cream cheese, eggs and vanilla in a blender, blend until smooth. add condensed milk and blend again. add evaporated milk and blend again. Pour over caramelized sugar in pan and set pan in another bigger pan with about 1 inch of water(this is called a water bath).

Bake for an hour in a 350 degree oven. cool and invert.

Note: This recipe taste better if left in the fridge overnight so it can harden completely, trust me its worth it!

I have a recipe very similar to this one and it's 14 oz sweetened condensed milk and 12 oz evaporated milk.


Sounds yummy! Quick question - is the amount of vanilla supposed to be 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon!
