Chocolate Truffles


  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2½ cups powdered sugar, plus extra for topping
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla


  1. In large bowl, cream butter. In separate bowl, combine powdered sugar and cocoa; add to butter alternately with cream and vanilla. Blend well. Chill until firm. Shape small amount of mixture around desired center; roll into 1-inch balls. Drop into desired coating and turn until well covered. Chill until firm.
