I am a recent convert to Sugarshack’s BC, and I wanted a deep deep chocolate flavor. The color of this is not a deep chocolate brown, more medium dark in shade, but the flavor is wonderful. This is a crusting BC. My ingredients are for a 25 yr old KA mixer, this is the max my mixer will take. One of my coworkers told me that when she reached the end of her life, she wanted me to bring her a bucket of this frosting so she could go out with a smile on her face. (We are a group of middle aged nurses)
Ingredients
- 4 Cups shortening
- 4 lbs less 1/2 cup Confectioner’s sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa (I use Hershey’s Special Dark) – sifted
- Belgian Chocolate Toffee creamer (International Delights) – heated
- 2 bars semisweet chocolate, melted (I use Ghirardelli)
- 2 oz unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1 Tbsp vanilla

Follow the directions for Sugarshack’s BC, adding the melted chocolates before the sugar. Enjoy!
