This frosting is simple & delicious. The only frosting you will ever need for your carrot or banana cake…trust me! Try not to eat it all before it gets on the cake though!
INGREDIENTS
2 pkg. 8oz. cream cheese
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 8oz. tub cool whipped topping, thawed
DIRECTIONS
Beat cream cheese and sugar until well blended. Whisk in cool whip. That’s it!
Love this reciepe
Looks delicious. Can't wait to try it.
Can you decorate with this?
i tried this recipe and loved it. I will probably add a bit more sugar as it didn't seem sweet enough
Beautiful texture it is really good with the heavenly pumpkin spice cake recipe. I tried because my son in law wanted icing that was not too sweet.
I also added a litte more sugar to it but i was so good!! great receipe!
How long do you think it could sit at room temp??
Love this! Especially for kids cakes as I find most icing way too sweet.
can't wait to try but can you color this frosting
I didn't have much luck decorating any 'details' with this icing. It is very good, but it takes on the lightness of the whipped topping.
how long can it be left out
Loved the taste of it. I used a tub of whipped cream the first time around and dream whip on the second batch. Both batches came out just the same and they tasted the same. I had to use about 1/2 a cup more to get it to the consistency I wanted. Other than that, it was the best cream cheese icing and it will definately go into my recipe book.
can you use this recipe for icing cupcakes?
Wow is all I can say to the taste...it taste just like a cheesecake batter. YUMMO!!! Thanks for posting!! I did 2 batches and used 4 pkgs of cream cheese, 1 8oz tub of whipping cream, 1 envelope of dream whip and 6 cups of powdered sugar.
Has anyone used this to ice cupcakes? I have 7 dozen red velvet cupcakes for tomorrow...Sounds like it may be too fluffy to hold shape. I was hoping to use Wilton tip 1M
Sounds great...want to try this out on cake balls can this be left out or does it have to go into the fridge??
I was looking for a lighter and less sweet frosting and this is perfect. It is absolutely divine and the best part is how easy it is! Thanks for sharing!
