Baby Shower Tea Party

Baby Shower Tea Party on Cake Central

Made for a good friend's baby shower which was being held in a tea house. I saw missyek's delightful cake and it fit the shower theme so perfectly, I had to give it a try. Fudge brownie cake w/raspberry filling, covered in IMBC. All decorations are fondant, although I mixed gumtex into a lot of them so they'd dry better. The blanket is supposed to be saving a space for the baby. The plaque is fondant and was hand-lettered with a food coloring pen, using a font printout as a guide.

Thanks everyone! I was so pleased with the way it came out. (Actually there is a better pic of the topper in my gallery.) It did take a long time was but worth every minute. As for the lettering, I printed out the words in the font "Spumoni" and copied the text freehand, a skill I learned when I was a graphic design student. My normal penmanship is atrocious!
