Another Chasing Candles Cake
Thanks to angies for the idea!! It was a last minute cake for a co-worker. I changed it a little. I thought this idea was so cute and a very easy one to do. It is all done in BC.
Nurse Hat And Stethescope
This is my first buttercream transfer. From the mistakes in the way it looks, I learned alot!! The cake was made today for my sisters nursing class tomorrow, just because they are almost done with school. It is just a plain 12"x12" white cake, with buttercream frosting. I only used one box of mix so it is thin, but that is because I did not want it to be too heavy for my sister to carry to class with her bookbag and everything.
Frank & Mel's Cake
This idea came from a Wilton Wedding Cake book. The cake topper is an heirloom, handed down from Mother to Daughter, with each one changing the flowers to match their colour scheme. The middle tier has a clear basket with two satin pillows with intertwining wedding bands & of course the champagne glasses between the pillars. The cake was all french vanilla with lemon curd filling & the icing was bc.

Quite pleased with this tier cake. All flowers are royal, iced in bc. I think it turned out beautifully!
Here is a picture of the cake I made for a First Communion. It is covered with fondant and decorated with yellow buttercream. The church and flowers are made from pastillage.
This cake was a joint birthday party for a boy and a girl. Her invitations and goddy bags had mermaids and his invitations had sharks. This was the best way to combine both ideas. All the decorations are gumpaste colored with luster dusts and food coloring pens.
This was made for my brother who drives a red Peterbilt. All chocolate cake. Icing is white chocolate coloured red. The black icing is chocolate bc. Wheels are cookies
Sorry about the messy writing, someone missplaced my fine tip, but the cake was a hit anyways. It is a marble cake with strawberry cream filling, covered (of course) in bc.
Made this cake in stainless steel bowls. It is dark chocolate with fudge filling. The handle was gingerbread covered with buttercream & anchored right through the cake.
Each layer is a different flavour & filling, with marzipan to cover & gumpaste decorations. After getting it all together, I realized the bottom layer should have been thinner.......live & learn...comes with experience, I guess.
