St. Patty's Day Cake
The ribbon says "Good Luck + Erin Go Braugh!". Chrysanthemum flowers and shamrocks from buttercream. Crown shell edge and reverse shell border on the bottom.
R2D2 Star Wars Cake
This is for my son's 7th birthday. R2 still needs 2 cherry halves on his head, but I won't put them on until the day of the party.
Boba Fett Star Wars Cake
This is Boba Fett from Star Wars. This pan was hard to find & not a cheap buy, that's for sure!! I made these two Star Wars cakes to surprise my son with on his 7th birthday.
Decided to post this here, also, because it was made specifically for a Chinese theme party. Dragon is buttercream frosting with white chocolate lavendar colored spikes. He's made from an 8" round, a 9" long oval, and 2 cupcakes.
Course Ii Finale Cake
This is my Finale Cake for the Wilton Course II class. The butterflies are colorflow. The flowers are royal icing. The basketweave and icing is buttercream. I thought it was pretty.. This cake developed cracks in the frosting and a huge earthquake-like crack down the center by the time I got home. See that picture in the Cake Disasters forum in thread called "Earthquake Cake...".
This was my first cake! I used 3 or 4 tubes of red food coloring because I didn't even know you could buy the actual icing coloring paste! It turned out great for my son's 4th birthday party. He had a Rescue Heroes Party.
Scooby Doo Cake
This was my first attempt at making a cake with a Wilton shaped pan. After I baked it and took it out of the pan, I really thought I'd gotten in over my head! We were just amazed at how it turned out. And even I couldn't believe that I made it myself! If I can do it, ANYone can! My son loved it for his 5th Birthday Party.
Dora The Explorer Cake
Okay, this was my second cake using a Wilton shaped pan. It turned out great! This was for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she Loved it! I love these cakes, they are so easy. Believe me, if I can do it, you can too!
