Gift Bag Cake
The gift bag is yellow cake with a "twinkie" filling, covered in marshmallow fondant. The tissue paper is gumpaste. The small cake on the left is yellow cake with the same filling, covered with chocolate frosting and fondant accents. The small cake on the right is chocolate cake with the same filling. I was inspired by a combination of pictures from this site - thanks everyone!
Great job!!! would you mind sharing the recipe of twinkie filling!!! :D
I love these... how did you get your cake to stand up like that and what exactly is twinkie filling?
WOW!!!This is so cool!!!I LOVE IT!!!goin to my favs:)
Thanks for your comments! I got the twinkie filling recipe from this site - I just typed in "twinkie" in the recipe search. I used the 3 star recipe since it didn't need to be refrigerated - it wasn't exactly like twinkie filling but still yummy! Maybe I'll try the 5 star twinkie recipe next time. To make the cake stand up I stacked 3 layers and used plastic straws for support (one on each side).
fantastic
These cakes are awesome! I love the color and design combos. Very girly! The tissue paper, handle& bows are great!

What an adorable cake! I love the colors and the design. :D
Nicely done! Very attractive! Anyone would LOVE to get this one!
Thank you everyone. For the tissue paper, I rolled white gumpaste very thin and used a pizza cutter to cut rectangles. I bunched up the rectangles a litte and let them harden slightly and stuck them in the frosting on top of the cake. Some pieces I didn't let harden much so I could move them around a little and fill in where needed on top of the cake.
I'm new to the site and I just love this set of cakes
i am new in this side ,and the cakes is so beutiful :)
