My First Fondant Rose

My First Fondant Rose on Cake Central

This is my first fondant rose. The color is sky blue....any suggestions or hints would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks for looking.

Suggestions would be to knead a bit of Crisco into your fondant, it will prevent cracks in the suface of your petals. Paste should be rolled as thinly as possible for roses and you would have better luck doing that with gumpaste. You have the basic's down, just roll the petals thinner and try pulling the petal in towards you from the back, at the very center of the petal. The other suggestion would be stick with true flower colors to make them look more natural. Don't give up, keep practicing.
