Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

These were my first ever try at sugar cookies with icing. These were made before I knew to add meringue powder to my icing. The bowl is a cookie itself. I made another one just like it for a PTA auction only changed my bowl technique. I had 60 of these cookies in a chocolate cookie bowl. It went for 40 dollars. I don't think I got a digital picture of that one though.
What a cool and unique idea! Very nicely done!!
these look GREAT! :D How do you make the cookie "bowl?" I've never seen that before! Could you post recipe here (I'm sure others will be asking for it! lol
A very clever idea!
I don't really care for the recipe that I have for the cookie bowl. It tastes kind of like a tootsie roll. I need to experiment with a chocolate sugar cookie or something like it. But all I did was take the dough and place it over a foil covered stainless steel bowl. I poked a few holes in it here and there so that it would bubble too much. Then I baked it on a cookie sheet with the bowl upside down, just like you would a cookie. Place on a cookie rack to cool. then carefully remove the cookie.
it should read, "so that it would NOT bubble too much"
Very cute! Looks great!
Yummy! Yummy!
