1,000,000Th Roasted Turkey?

1,000,000Th Roasted Turkey? on Cake Central

Well, here's my version. Just finished it a few minutes ago. Not too bad for a first time, though I will do a few things different next time. The good thing is when my soon-to-be-10 year old son saw it, he said, "Oh, we're bringing the turkey?!"

We have seen this on here a bunch of times lately, but I love seeing everyone's interpretations of it. Your stuffing looks really real...I love your carrots! Great job!

Unfortunately I didn't have time to do the peas and potatoes. As I sit here typing I'm suppose to get ready to leave on my three hour trip with this and two other cakes. Thank you.

ditto what coolmom says... I love seeing everyone's turkeys! Tomorrow it'll be full of turkey photos! I want to make this but running out of time. maybe I'll just stay up till midnight to do it. Please share how you did the carrots (and wood-be peas and potatoes!)

Thanks. I had extra orange fondant from another cake so I used that to roll a carrot shape and slice. Then took a homemade impression mat (plastic tray from a box of Girl Scout cookies) to make them look wavy, then sprayed with the warm water, color and dk Karo. The bread cubes are spare cake sprayed with with coloring and water (no Karo) and toasted.

I've seen alot of them, but yours is the best. You really nailed the color. The carrots and stuffing look like they would be great covered in gravy, lol.
