Husband's Birthday Cake
Since I saw this picture here on CC done by CakesByAllison I have wanted to try to reproduce it. My husband's birthday was just a good excuse. Thank you for the inspiration, CakesByAllison. Mine is not flawless, though. It is a chocolate cake with Sarah Bernhardt's choc glaze, covered in MMF with BC accents.

Most all of us have seen this idea done many different ways. This is very nice. I like the colors. Are the stripes painted w/pearl dust to get that shine?
Yes, the stripes are brushed with pearl dust.
