Christmas Poinsettia
This is my first attempt at making a modelling paste flower. The paste was coloured pink first, then dusted with chalk and steamed to set the colour. It's a bit of a giant so there wasn't need for anything else on the cake, well, there wasn't any room anyway. My giant Poinsettia was the feature!! Gold ribbon edged my first go at frilling. Ribbon hides a multitude of errors and dodgy edges. Thanks for looking......
Fabulous!
beautiful!
The Poinsettia is so pretty but so is your cake!
Your poinsettia is AWESOME...welcome to the world of sugarpsate flowers!!!!
Love your cake. We all use frills to cover stuff - you did well. Just love the "giant" flower - think it's great.
I've heard it said its not how Perfect the cake is ... just how well you hide the flaws.. NO such thing as a perfect cake. yours is lovely
