Birthday cake for my father-in-law who lives to fish & hunt!! Vanilla chocolate=chip cake with buttercream and the new Witlon shimmer gel for the water; fondant "rocks"; graham cracker crumbs for the sand.

Absolutely fantastic cake! I love the water, and the grass looks perfect for an outdoor scene! Fantastic tent, too. Did you make that?
Sorry - the tent, fire, kayak & fisherman are all plastic - found them at my local cake supply store and I just couldn't resist!! I was also working on this cake with a killer sinus infection and a 101 fever, so the more shortcuts the better this week!! (I worked with plastic gloves on for those wondering... :lol: )
what did u use for the tent and the fire? EXCELLENT JOB!!! good for girl scout leaders...lol
wilton shimmer gel? is that made from piping gel (clear) with wilton blue? if so, how much blue to get this color?
