Michigan State Ball Cap
Spartan's cap for a neighbor's birthday. He is an alumni and fan of Michigan State. He also coaches T-ball so I thought it would be fitting for him. I followed the instructions from 'confetti cakes' by Elisa Strauss. It was actually pretty easy and fun to make. The hardest part was actually cutting out the 'S' .

great job...how did you get the curve in the front part?
It is made from gumpaste that I let dry on a lightweight cardboard template. I actually let it sit on a real hat to dry.

if you can get your hands on the confetti cakes book that would be helpful! I think making the divits in the hat makes it look more realistic. if you have any specific questions, feel free to pm me!

Dang if that doesn't look just like a hat. I love the shape of the top - I'm going to have to trust you that there's really cake under there somewhere, it falls just like fabric.
