Fifties Drag Racing Cake
My brother, who loves vintage cars and drag racing, just turned 50, so we had a fifties-themed drag racing party for him. I made two cakes for the party - one is a half-sheet cake with a 1957 model Chevy on top and the other is a 13 x 9 cake with the "grandstand" on top. I made the grandstand out of styrofoam and decorated it with royal icing faces and fondant signs.
