thanks for all the comment! to make a wrap you basically melt choc onto mylar and wrap it around the cake and let it set. thats the super simplified description. shirley W has great instructions on a sticky thread in the cake decorating forum.
i used white chocolate candy coating. just melted it in the microwave, and poured it onto a strip of mylar. i got the mylar at an art supply store. i scraped the choc with a drywall scraper to get it smooth and uniform, then applied it to my cake. (which had been iced in BC)
